Jinhe Raste Mein Khabar Hui is a deeply emotional social romantic novel which beautifully explores the themes of love, fate, misunderstandings and the harsh principles of society. The story revolves around those people from whom life has snatched away their smiles and left them facing such decisions where every path leads to pain.
Characters:
Anjasha:
Anjasha is an innocent, patient and quiet girl. She is in deep love but keeps her feelings hidden. Life puts her to test again and again, sometimes through family pressure and sometimes through wrong decisions. Her character is an example of sacrifice and self-respect.
Sojhan:
Sojhan is strong and short-tempered but a very sensitive person inside. Childhood trauma has made him emotionally unstable. He loves Anjasha a lot but hides his love behind anger and possessiveness, which ultimately damages their relationship.
Hadiya:
Hadiya is a cunning, emotional and manipulative girl who loves Sojhan.She loves Sojhan and uses lies and schemes to get close to him. Her actions create the biggest misunderstandings and turn the story toward tragedy.
Shaman Ahmed:
Shaman Ahmed is the darkest character in the story. Respectable and rich from outside but cruel and heartless from inside. He forcefully marries Anjasha and falsely accuses Hadiya of murdering his first wife.
Mrs. Sahir & Azeem Sahib:
Mrs. Sahir is Sojhan’s mother, torn between motherly love and social pressure.
Azeem Sahib is Anjasha’s father, who makes wrong decisions in the name of honor and helplessness.
Plot Overview:
The story begins with Zameendar families and their rigid mindset, where women are often forced to make decisions against their will. Anjasha and Sojhan have been close friends since childhood. After the death of Sojhan’s younger sister and then his father’s death, Anjasha becomes a part of his household.
This relationship evolves from friendship to love but the two are unable to understand their feelings. Despite constant arguments and moments of closeness, misunderstandings dominate their relationship. At a wedding event, Sojhan’s intense reaction toward Anjasha reveals his hidden feelings, but at the same time, Sojhan mentions his past love, Zarnish, which breaks Anjasha’s heart.
Hadiya’s entry further deepens the confusion. Hadiya lies and convinces Anjasha that Sojhan is going to marry her. Meanwhile, Sojhan’s father passes away, and in this moment of grief, he misjudges Anjasha and soon after she leaves the city with her family. Sojhan searches for her for seven years but she is nowhere to be found.
Anjasha’s life becomes increasingly difficult when her parents and uncle force her into a brutal marriage. While escaping, she encounters Shaman Ahmed, who marries her by offering money to her family. Later, it is revealed that Shaman framed Hadiya for the murder of his first wife.This marriage is purely forced. When the truth finally comes to light, each character faces the consequences of their actions. Sojhan realises his mistakes and Anjasha is left facing the toughest decision of her life.
